So goes the ancient "Christian" propaganda. Even if the Jews were the ultimate enemies of Jesus there is only one injunction of the real Jesus Christ that applies - "the boys of old said... but I say Love your enemies." Too bad Jesus, misunderstood as Messianic threat to Rome's power, got himself crucified. For then he could not, despite his spirit active in the hearts of men, rein in the gross stupidity of his followers as they put sayings in his mouth that laid the foundation for centuries of hatred toward God's primary people, the Jews.

If you read Romans you will clearly see in chapter 11 that the Jews are still the God's people. For God's covenant(s) with the Old Testament people of God (the Jews) is still in force. Why not! God is no politician or used-car salesman cutting deals that suit his whim of the moment.

Even if there were no God the historic reality is we share 100%   the main tenets of Jewish faith. Its called ethical/prophetic monotheism with central emphasis on Exodus = equals the finger to unreasonalble enslaving authority of all kinds so we can indeed be  free people (of God). Moslems also share the same tradition.

It's all anyone really needs. For the Jews have given the world nothing less than God (active in history and our lives). There is nothing beyond this.
