First of all, homosexuality is FAR from being unnatural as it occurs quite
frequently in nature. When any two people love each other, whether they are
hetersexual or homosexual, something wonderful comes from it - LOVE. AIDS is
a terrible disease that can be transmitted trhough heterosexual or male
homosexual sex (as well as by other non-sexual means). There has not been
one single recorded case where AIDS has been transmitted through sex between
two women. AIDS is not God's judgement on anyone - it is just a terrible
disease. Many heterosexual couples regularly have sex but never have
children. Do you think God will punish them? God will not punish them and
He/She will also not punish homosexual couples for their love.

Love makes a marriage - not children. However, my partner and I are the

I am a devout Christian who regularly reads the Bible. My favorite version
is the New Revised Standard Version that has eliminated much of the
unnecessary sexist language. However, like many other liberal and mainstream
Christians, I do NOT view the bible as an inerrant iron clad rulebook. The
bible was carried by word of mouth, written, copied, translated and
canonized by mere mortal and fallible human beings. We believe that,
although the bible is a necessary and cherished resource that all Christians
should read, individual opinions, prejudices and societal attitudes
inevitably found their way into the bible.

My search for God's truth is a never ending journed and I use many tools to
help find my way along the journey. These tools include the bible, other
books by Christian authors, prayer, self-reflection, fellowship with other
Christians, etc. Some of my favorite Chistian authors are Bishop John Shelby
Spong, Dr. Gerald Mann, Rev. Mel White, the Jesus Seminar and Father Daniel
Helminiak. Some books I frequently recommend are "Rescuing the Bible from
Fundamentalism" by Bishop Spong, "Common Sense Christianity" by Dr. Gerald
Mann, "Stranger at the Gate" by Rev. Mel White, "The Five Gospels" by the
Jesus Seminar and I especially recommend "What the Bible Really Says About
Homosexuality" by Roman Catholic Priest and theologian Daniel Helminiak,
Ph.D.
